The Bonus Assignment can be done by any student in the class. Please note though that if a student already has earned a perfect score of 300 no extra points will be given over the maximum of 300 points for the term. For example if a student has already earned 295 points and turns in one of the three parts below they will only earn a maximum of 5 more points.
Part 1: (Worth 10 points)
Since the bonus lesson is about the Wizarding World’s newspaper this will be a writing assignment. You will need to interview another member of this class in an effort to get to know them better. Looking through the introduction posts will help you find a person to interview from the class. Your interview must include the following;
- An introduction as to why you chose this student.
- At least eight different questions about this person as an effort to try to get to know them (these can be serious, silly, or anything you want them to be, just follow all HOL rules).
- An conclusion to your interview.
- You must converse with the person you are interviewing; you cannot make the entire interview up.
Part 2: (Worth 10 points)
Create an advert worthy of the Daily Prophet. You can make up something to advertise, create and avert from a Diagon Alley store, Hogsmeade store, announce a birth/death or anything else in the Magical World. This needs to be completely original. Do not turn something in you have already received points for from another class, The Art Department, etc. Make the advert no larger than 600 x 600 and no smaller than 300 x 300. Save the image to an image hosting site and send in a link to the image.
